The story started by introducing the setting of movie, it was tell about the young girl have 16^th which name is Katness Everdeen from some place named District 12. Where the majority of civilians as a miner. District 12 is a last district, one of the 12 district in the country called Panem. Panem is a country that was once a North America. Because a failed insurgency, Panem’s Government make a some death competition which held in the state capital named Capitol. The competition is named The Hunger Games.

That they have to fight for their district until death and find one winner. 73^rd years this competition have held and be a culture of the Panem. Katness chosen from district 12 who change her sister(Primrose Everdeen) and as a young man is Peeta Mellark as a tribute in 74^th Hunger games. Like the reality show, the contestants of The Hunger Games also require attractive personality so that they can get a sponsor. This sponsor serves to save the contestants from several times the incident of death. Obtaining links is dependent on the ability of each contestant to survive.
